Jaeger Lecoultre stainless steel travel alarm clock circa 1950. Featuring a 12-S (41.5mm) open face pocket watch with alarm feature. With great looking original matte silver dial with distinctive art deco inspired applied silver indexes and separate aged lume plots and large and easily read matching luminous pencil style hands. Powered by manual wind caliber 489 movement with oversized sweep seconds hand. With original unsigned dome shaped crowns for setting and winding the movement and the alarm functions. This is the earliest version we have seen of a Lecoultre travel alarm. It is a standout in terms of industrial design style.

The watch case appears to be a standard industrial design of the era. But there is a surprise here. It has a hidden swing out easel on the case back, which serves to provide an upright stand for the watch as a night stand alarm watch. When not standing up, the swing out bow tucks back against the case and is nearly unnoticeable.
