Vintage Helbros 17 jewel manual wind “backwards” Goofy watch circa 1972. Featuring a 34mm diameter base metal case with steel screw down stainless steel back, with acrylic crystal, and with excellent condition original dial with polychrome depiction of popular Disney Goofy character complete with animated gloved hands. This is a very “goofy” watch, in that the dial layout is reversed and the watch advances counter clockwise instead of the normal clockwise direction. It was produced for one year only in 1972.
Unlike most pin lever, or inexpensive quartz comic character watches, this model was produced in the 1970’s by Helbros using a quality 17 jewel movement, capable of being serviced and maintained for years. Currently being serviced and will be available for sale on Tuesday, Dec 20th.
