A fabulous looking space age inspired model from Hamilton. Nicknamed the “Sputnik” for its resemblance to the Russian space capsule of the era, this Hamilton reference # K454 is of the era of the futuristic Hamilton Electric models, but features a mechanical, self winding movement, and and not the sadly unreliable a battery powered movements as found in the Hamilton Electric models.

Featuring a 34 X 40mm case with wide “skirt” style stepped YGF bezel with lugs extending out like footed antennae. With original matte silver dial with raised disks inset with tritium lume hours, and stylized sun ray pattern à la Howard Miller futurist wall clock designs.

We have fitted this modernist design watch with an equally modernist and space age design period stretch bracelet in new old stock condition. The bracelet has curved end pieces and black angular panels and is a perfect complement to the watch and completes this fabulous space age look.
