An unusual and great looking vintage Hamilton SS “Big Eye” chronograph model #647, circa 1970’s. 39 x 40mm large cushion shaped stainless steel case with round pushers and screw down caseback. With acrylic crystal and especially attractive original charcoal gray dial with large white registers and applied silver indexes, red outer track and white luminous match stick style hands. Powered by Valjoux calibre 7733 manual wind 2 registers movement. Inside case back signed J.R. Georgerat. Offered on your choice of sporty NATO or fine leather strap.
We have not previously owned this model. With a dial closely ressembling the popular Hamilton ref 647 “Big Eye” diver’s chronograph but without the outer elapsed time bezel, and in this larger flared shaped case design.
