Gruen “Majesty” 14K YGF 52mm curved case “Curvex” model circa 1939. This is the King of all Gruen curvex models. Featuring Gruen’s curved design caliber 330 manual wind movement designed to accomodate a curved case contoured to fit the curve of the wrist. This is the longest and most desirable of all Gruen curvex models from the pre World War II Art Deco design era.

Featuring a nicely restored 2 tone silver satin dial with raised gold Breguet style indexes and original gilt moon style hands. Recently fully serviced and detailed, and fitted with a new curved mineral glass crystal. The case is in excellent condition and does not have “cavities” on the back of the lugs from wear, which frequently plagues this extreme curve model. All Gruen watches were produced at their massive factory at Gruen Hill, Cincinnati, Ohio, with USA made cases and marketed to the U.S. Gruen is the namesake of the vintage neon “blade” clock that has been hanging over the entrance to our shop for the last 30+ years.
