At one time one of the most collectible of American wristwatches of the art deco and retro eras of design, we offer this scarce and fabulous Gruen 2 color 14K white and yellow gold duo dial doctor’s watch. Featuring a 21 X 40mm 14K WG rectangular case with decorative engraved sides and with 14K YG engraved panel along the top of the case circa 1930’s. With a very nicely restored 2 tone silver satin dial with black printed arabic figures and moon style hour and minute hand and stylized seconds hand.
Powered by calibre 877S 15 jewel Gruen Guild manual wind movement. Excellent condition case free of any personalized engraving. High quality very clean movement just serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers. Scarce model in gold; even more so in 2 tone gold. The first Gruen doctor’s watch we have had in many years, and this one is a beauty!
Note: The Gruen 877S movement is the same movement as is found in Rolex Prince models, produced by the Aegler company and marketed in the U.S. under the Gruen name, and in Europe and British colonies under the Rolex name.
