Beautiful design gold bearing quartz pocket watch chain circa 1900. Measuring 13 3/4″ in overall length, containing 8 rectangular panels with gold quartz on each side with connecting stirrup shaped swiveling links. With gold quartz set T bar. Produced in the era of the California gold rush and often found with San Francisco branded gold quartz set pocket watches. Overall weight 28 grams. Gold chain tests for 10K gold. Note all gold quartz panels are intact and without cracks. An extremely desirable, beautifully executed and preserved gold quartz chain and example of American jewelry from the post California gold rush era. May also be worn as necklace or bracelet as shown in photos.
