Tudor Ranger ref 7996/0 Roulette Wheel circa 1966


A very fine condition and genuine example Tudor Ranger ref 7996/0 with self winding movement with sweep seconds and roulette wheel style alternating red and black date wheel case serial # 552,XXX circa 1966. Featuring a 34mm diameter case with smooth bezel, acrylic crystal, and original black dial with Explorer style 12/6/9 numerals, and powered by caliber 2484 self winding movement with sweep seconds and alternating red and black date wheel.

An excellent condition example with especially clean and unpolished case, matte black original dial without any scratches, oil spots or aging, with pleasing ivory patina’d tritiium indexes and hands, and completed with  Rolex signed “Hecho en Mexico” Jubilee bracelet with deployant clasp.

The current example features the Tudor shield logo, the word RANGER, and lacking the “smiling” Self-Winding of the preceding model, and as mentioned has the alternating red and black date window
