Featuring a 34mm diameter previously polished case with smooth bezel and acrylic crystal, with very attractive, and original warmly patina’d matte silver dial with raised rose gold Roman figures and rose baton hands. Dial reads Rolex Oyster Bucherer’s, Shock Resisting and SWISS. Powered by manual wind caliber 1210 movement with sweep seconds with original screw down Oyster crown.  In good running condition.

This remarkable watch includes the original Bucherer purchase receipt documenting the purchase of this watch on Feb 15, 1946 for 150 Swiss Francs, the original Rolex Bucherer warrantee personally signed by company founder Carl Bucherer. Also included is the original 3 fold Rolex instructional booklet, the original Bucherer logo envelope with the name and address of the purchaser, a U.S. Navy Captain from Wilmington, Delaware. The receipt and warranty both reference presumably a company inventory code of HR 724-1 for this model.

All the documents including the outer envelope are remarkably well preserved and document this noteworthy purchase and historical record from Bucherer, signed by the company’s founder who would have been 58 years old at the time he signed this purchase receipt.
