A fine condition example with original tritium luminous indexes and hands which uncharacteristically show a bit of ivory color aging. The dial surface is also remarkable in that it has developed a subtle “frozen” surface, occasionally seen on some of the early gloss dial Rolex sport models. The surface irregularities resemble an early morning frost on the windshield, or alternatively, faint stars in the galaxy seen in the evening just as the sky begins to darken. A subtle, but appealing effect, not easily seen on casual observation, but readily apparent under close inspection.
