Scarce and desirable model Rolex stainless steel ref# 5018 “Bombe” circa 1948. Featuring 35mm diameter case with extended bowed lugs, smooth bezel, acrylic crystal, and very pleasing older refinished antique white dial with raised triangular indexes with aged luminous dots and elongated tapered silver dauphine hands. Powered by early calibre 630 self winding “bubble back” type movement with sweep seconds. With correct bubble back era crown. Recently serviced and offered with our usual 1 year warrantee of accurate timekeeping and operation. Offered on your choice of fine or distressed leather or exotic skin strap.

NOTE: The “Bombe” name of this model refers to the heavy bowed lugs which gives this model a bigger and much more stylish presence than the common plain lug model. The bombe case was is more often seen in 14 or 18K gold, and is relatively scarce in steel.
