Omega Speedmaster ref 145.022-69 “Straight Line” 1st Generation Moon circa 1970)


An especially nice example Omega Speedmaster ref 145.022-69 ST circa 1970. This is the 1st generation Man on the Moon model with distinctive case back stamped “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON” in bold block letters.

Featuring a 42mm diameter case with black tachometer bezel, acrylic crystal and signed Omega crown. With an extremely nice condition original matte black stepped 3 registers chronograph dial, untouched original tritium lume indexes and hands, and signed T SWISS MADE T dial. WIth original evenly aged “dot next to 90” tachometer bezel. Sporting a previously polished, but very good condition case, and powered by calibre 861, 17 jewel manual wind movement which has just been fully serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers.

A relatively scarce first generation moon watch with case back marked, printed on a straight line in bold block letters. (On later editions, the moon landing designation is stamped in a circular pattern around the perimeter of the case back). This version is recognized as the scarcest of the Man on the Moon regular production models.

With later Omega stainless steel ref 1161 bracelet with 633 end pieces and with deployment clasp. Just fully serviced by one of our veteran watchmakers, guaranteed genuine. and offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation.
