ESSAY~ Should you wear a new old stock watch? Buying a vintage new old stock watch can be a bit of a conundrum. It is great to find a watch in nearly, or actually unworn condition. But once worn, it is no longer new old stock! Of course when buying a new watch, it is also in new condition, and we don’t hesitate to wear it, all be it at the expense of it no longer being new! But of course it is different when the watch is vintage, and is no longer in production and presumably you couldn’t go and decide to buy another one, and put it away, one to wear, and the other to keep NOS. Whatever your thoughts on this, it is always fun to come across cool models in unworn condition, that were tucked away in the back of a jeweler’s safe, or in a box or warehouse of a distributor. Museum worthy? Perhaps, or for your own museum, or what we have recently heard referred to as a “Safe Queen,” a watch that you prize so, that you  don’t dare wear it. Something to celebrate owning, or regret buying….whichever it may be…..
