Classic vintage 14K WG man’s Hamilton Spur model circa 1929. The smallest, and most elusive and sought after of the art deco design gold and enamel series of Hamilton models, which include the Piping Rock, the Coronado and the current Spur model.

Reproduced in the 1990’s by Hamilton in gold plated case, this is the original in 14K white gold with 17 jewel caliber 979 manual wind movement. Featuring a spiral fin design case, a black enamel chapter ring. The dial has been restored to it’s original matte silver “Butler” finish, and retains the original raised enamel minutes and sub seconds track, and original blued steel dauphine hands.

As for condition, the case, the enamel chapter ring, and the lugs (which take female spring bars) are all in excellent condition, a much finer example that we typically see. It is common that the enamel chapter ring is badly chipped which is not the case with this example.

Though the rarest of the 3 enamel art deco models, it is also by far the smallest of these models, measuring only 29 mm wide and 34mm top to bottom, and taking a very narrow 12mm strap.
