Gruen Weber 18K WG Quadron circa 1930’s

From an era of classicly designed art deco inspired elegance is this scarce scarce and fabulous Gruen Weber cased 18K white gold dress model from the 1930’s. While Gruen is known for manufacturing and distributing watches in the US with imported Swiss made movements, lesser known are the very small # of high quality Gruen Webers cased by Gruen’s own facility in Switzerland and fitted with high grade Quadron movements. We rarely see these models which were executed in 18K WG, 18K YG, and often bi-color gold. Most of these watches are in collections and are among the most stunning of designs of watches of the 1930’s and 1940’s.

The current Gruen Weber model features a 26 X 37mm 18K WG heavy rectangular case with gently curved back, deeply engraved decorative sides and with beautifully engraved decorative border on the case back. With a sterling silver reflective silver finish dial with black enamel fancy gothic style numerals and oversize blued steel spade style hands.

Powered by calibre 119 high grade 17 jewel manual wind Gruen Extra Precision “quadron” movement. A beautifully executed high grade movement with engraved and gold plated movement adjusted for temperature. Please note photos.
