Gold Athletic Award NY National Guard circa 1932
Large 34mm diameter clover shaped 10K yellow gold medallion in hi relief with leaf pattern surrounding a colorful enamel placque. Awarded by the107th Infantry Athletic Assn which was a regiment of the NY State National Guard, whose origins date back to the American Colonial era when it was designated the 7th Regiment Militia. Enameled Latin motto translates to “For Country & Glory.: Engraved back date of 1932. This intersting and historical medal was awared for wall scaling, is dated 1932 on the back and bears the maker’s name, Dieges & Clust.
