Benrus “Bullitt” Wrist Alarm ref 3021 Stainless Steel circa 1960’s

An exceptional condition example of the scarce Benrus military style wrist alarm AKA Steve Mcqueen “Bullitt” model. A watch with the same pedigree as its more familiar, time only brother, the “Bullitt”, as worn by Steven Mcqueen in the action thrilller film of the same name.

Featuring a 34 X 41mm stainless steel case with original matte black dial with 24 hour indexes and triangular luminous hour indexes, luminous hands and red arrow tipped sweep seconds hand and with matching dome unsigned crowns. The watch features an especially clean matte black dial surface, with fully intact, and lovely patina’d luminous indexes and hands. The paint on the hands is completely intact, with no chipping, no retouching, with pleasing coloration!

The watch looks nearly indistinguishable from the time only model destined for military service, with four key differences. (See example of the ref 3021 time only Bullitt included for reference) That red tipped hand, the case back being marked “Series # 3021”, the inclusion of the name Benrus on the dial, but most notably, the second crown powering the alarm. Unlike the Bullitt where the red tipped hand indicates the passing seconds, on the Wrist Alarm it marks the hand used to set and power the alarm. Powered by 17 jewel manual wind Benrus DS 10 movement, recently serviced and guaranteed. Offered with a NATO style or other sporty or military style strap.

Your purchase includes our signature fine leather pouch, ideal for travel and storage, a $55.00 value.
